Wayde was raised in Otis Orchards, Washington and graduated from East Valley High School in 1976. He attended Spokane Community College where he received an Associates Degree as an Electrician and in Fluid Power. Wayde then worked for Wizard Electric in Spokane and at that time met and married his lovely wife Ena.

In 1981 Wayde started working for Northwest Timber in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. While working there, Wayde attended Miller Institute and graduated with a certificate in Electronics. After nine years of working at Northwest Timber, the mill closed. Wayde then applied and was hired as an electrician at Potlatch Corporation in Lewiston, Idaho. Wayde and Ena moved to Lewiston and raised their three boys. While working for Potlatch, Wayde was promoted to leadman for the Electricians, Instrument, and Refrigeration mechanics in the Power and Recovery Department. He worked at Potlatch for sixteen years.

Wayde and Ena then decided to start their own business in 2006. They moved back to Coeur d'Alene area and started Spiker Electric, along with their son Jon. Wayde leads the company and his son Jon works with him while attending night classes for his Electrical apprenticeship. Ena who has an Associates Degree in accounting handles the company accounting.

We have installed more than 40 indoor and outdoor systems in custom homes. We believe in giving our customers the highest quality for their investment.
